Situated at the heart of Lake Havasu City, the London Bridge is a must-visit destination that carries a fascinating history. Originally constructed in the 1830s to span the River Thames in London, this iconic structure was disassembled and relocated to Arizona in the late 1960s. Today, it stands as a testament to the city’s unique charm and draws visitors from around the globe.

As you stroll across the bridge, you’ll notice love locks adorning both sides, a romantic tradition that has found its way here from Europe. Boating under the bridge, you’ll see remnants of the numbering system used to dismantle and reassemble it, like a giant jigsaw puzzle. You can also spot a marking made by two U.S. soldiers during WWII. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the swallows and bats that have made their home beneath it.

But the intrigue doesn’t stop there. Rumor has it that the bridge is haunted! Stories circulate of a British police officer and a woman in black, both spirits from the time of Jack the Ripper, who are said to roam the area. If you’re visiting in October, you can join a guided tour inside the bridge to explore these tales for yourself.

Whether you’re a history buff, a fan of architecture, or simply looking for a unique experience, the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City is a destination that promises to leave a lasting impression. With so much charm and personality, the London Bridge is one of the top places to visit in Lake Havasu City.

There are currently 28 lighthouses and more in the works. Maybe it’s because I’m a water baby, but I love lighthouses and made it a mission to see them all. What I didn’t realize is that many of the lighthouses aren’t accessible from land until we started looking for them.

The easiest way to see all the lighthouses is via boat. Otherwise, these are the ones you can reach on land.

Fun Fact: All lighthouses on the west side of Lake Havasu are famous lighthouses on the West Coast and the east side lighthouses are East Coast replicas. Everything on the island is from the Great Lakes.
