Isn't this one of the best hanging planting schemes you've seen?Architecture Farm created this amazing space for Majorel in Shanghai, and incorporated planting in some very interesting ways. The design concept is called 'BotaniScape'. Derived from the words “Botanical” and “Landscape,” the term BotaniScape 'embodies a space intricately woven with nature or natural elements. This concept aligns with the evolving demand for office spaces that radiate freedom, healing, and a human-centric ethos, seamlessly integrating healthy work philosophies into the design.' (Office Snapshots)I always enjoy seeing all the different ways designers incorporate plants into office schemes. #biophilia #planting #biophilicdesign

If only all skyscrapers looked like this!Another famous project showcasing both biophilia and sustainability, the Bosco Verticale in Milan was designed to combat urban sprawl and reduce expansion.Covered by20,000 plants(which all help to convert carbon, absorb CO2 and dust, and improve air quality), it’s one of the most recognisable and widely-cited images of sustainable construction. As you can see by the pictures, it stands out a mile! #plants #biophilicdesign #construction

The rough and the green!TheBarbican Centreis one of the earliest and most famous examples of biophilic architecture. Opened in the 1980s as an estate in London, it’s renowned for its striking, brutalist design. The bleak style of the concrete Barbican is juxtaposed with the use of natural and artificial lakes and extensive wildlife. It even has its own conservatory, housing over 1,500 species of plants and trees - well worth a visit if you're nearby!#biophilicdesign #biophilia #plants
